if you saw my facebook pictures, you already know that I've been through it already.

well, truth to be said, this is my first time donating blood ever since i turned 18.

before I'm even 18, we've been taught to be brave in moral studies, one of the sub-topic was to go for blood donation and don't chicken out?

i told my friends then, no matter what i'm going to donate my blood and even all my internal organs when i die next time :)

But guess what? When i'm 18. i am finally eligible for blood donation.

but there was a fear in me, i mean the needle is so thick and by looking at how the nurse poke it through the hands freak me off.

I want to donate, but i'm scared.

I was relieved then when i saw that below 45kg cannot donate, coz i was 40kg then!

and true enough, when i weight myself in front of the doctor, the doctor stop me from donating.

when i was 19, the whole feeling came back again, and again i was still under weight, therefore i was excused to donate blood.

when i was 20, i was underweight.

when i was 21. I'm at the weight, but guess what?

I was having menses.

This year being 22, the time came, I'm at the weight and I wasn't having menses, though I was afraid, but i have no reason not to anymore.

Then i decided, since there's nothing stopping me besides my fear, i got to overcome it by God's help.

I told Ee Laine to accompany me since morning since she donated before and probably she could calm me a little.

But before registration, i told my mom that i'm donating, she doubt that i could cause of my low blood pressure.

So, i thought maybe i could use that excuse to not donate? But, i'm was quite decided to do so anyway unless the doctor say can't.

So, i went and register myself.

I weight myself.

The doctor check my blood pressure, he ask me to wait for 10 minutes before donating blood because i just finish my food, that's why my blood pressure is still quite low, the energy wasn't there yet?

then, they checked my blood type.

Then the doctor gave me the basket (which also means, IT'S ON!)

You won't believe how fast my heart was beating then and how many times i prayed while waiting.

So, i waited for Ee Laine to finish her registrations and check up.

then, we lie down beside each other to do it together.

i was really scared then already, not as scared as i want to jump off.

coz i really want to overcome it.

Ee Laine asked me not to see. So i just relax myself... and let the nurse do whatever she wants.

i can feel the needle poking through though, and it really makes me scared,

however it was really not as painful as i thought!

and then after much panicking and stress... i felt joy, when i see the blood flows out of me.

Was messaging Jun all the while during these process.

Jun is afraid of needles, and probably if he is there, he would be so scared that it freaks me off too.

hahahahha

but now, i told him, no matter what next time, he must be there when i donate blood whether he is scared or not.. and i will still donate XP

I really like doing this last time when i have friendster, but it got so boring after that since there were so many tags going around, and i'm like tag in most of it. Then, i just decided not to do it after that.

Truthfully, i only feel the Chinese New Year mood only the night before CNY,

when we have reunion dinner.

Then, CNY became better when i arrived in Bentong,

and my relatives are having thanksgiving service in the house among each other

and we joined in. :)

It's always good that we give thanks to God for everything he has provided to us.

FTP Concert

I learned up this hair from Bubbi's hair tutorials video.

However i think i could've done better XP

On 13th January, Jun (a fan of Foster the People) bring me to the concert.
He bought the ticket during December, he wanted the Fanatic Zone that is much nearer to the stage

however, it was sold off, so he bought the cheaper alternative one.

*This was took at 6.30pm i think*

That day, we take LRT from Asia Jaya after Sedaya's lunch from Yuniku
and when we arrived it was around 5.30pm.

There weren't many people, so we take some light dinner first and bought some magazines to read while waiting.

There were really quite a lot of people! The que was really long.
From one end of the convention centre to the other end, and to outside too.

They have only 2 zones that night, Fanatic zone and regular/party zone.
Jun got the party zone's.

During the wait, many people gave cheers randomly, as if the FTP were out.
some Fans were singing FTP's song while waiting.

When people started to stand up, we quickly pack our things.
there were many security guards there to make sure we abide with the rules etc?

When they check Jun's camera bag, they saw Jun's DSLR they really ask him to get out.

No matter what Jun said " i won't take, i promise" etc, the guard just smile coldly and shake his head.

Then, we felt really panic, coz we travel by LRT, and we have no where to keep the bag of camera.

Jun thought of asking the information counter though, so he left and asked me to go in first if i manage to.

So they checked mine. I have a compact camera in my bag. However, he did not open it to see, but just feeling with his hand. And with his hand, he only felt the water bottle in my bag, so he took it off and let me go in. But still, they didn't check the plastic bag i was holding, there was another water bottle hiding behind of the magazine. Geez, illegal much yeah.

Before i officially passed the ticket to another staff, i waited there for Jun. So afraid that Jun will not be able to keep his camera somewhere safe, and ended up sitting outside of the hall. :/ But seriously, if he is going to be prohibited from entering in the end, i'd wait outside till the concert end to hold the camera and let him in.

Then while waiting for him behind the bar. He just put his camera bag on the floor infront of the bar and whispered "bring it in." So, i just bend down and get the camera bag. I passed through security guards, therefore no one's going to check me already. But I'm still afraid that they'd notice.

I passed the tickets to the staff, and they let me in, with me carrying the camera bag and they didn't notice.

Oh well... POKER FACE passed ;D

Then i waited inside there till Jun entered.

We got in at 8.00pm i think?
and then we waited till the concert start.

While waiting, the party zone kept shouting and requesting to go nearer to the front since it's free standing, and the fanatic zone didn't take up much space.

So, after much consideration, the management team came and move the bar nearer to the front.

However, during the first song itself when Mark Foster came out, some random party zone's audience managed to push the bars down, and all the party zone begin entering the fanatic zone.

The security guard was there, but they can't seem to do much since everybody is running and pushing already.

Jun and I almost got pushed down, but we managed to hold on, quickly grab our things and go.

He started off taking pictures by using my compact camera.

But as you can see in the picture, many people were recording.

They were using their smartphones. hahaha

I got to admit, Mark's voice is super good.

He sound so original here and in the CD.

though i do not know much of his songs... but I really love the music

The crowds cheer for every song, and sing along together with Mark Foster.

But seriously, i can't see much, i am so short!

I only peek through holes in between people's neck and shoulders.

But one thing i enjoyed very much is when Wen-Jun sing along as well.

His face is so funny and so happy.

I can't describe.

But knowing that he manage to enter the hall, and listening to him singing along with Mark together with the crowds, and looking at his expressions.... the way he shout.. the way he close his eyes ahahahha

makes me feel so happy for Jun, and makes me feel soooo in love over again. LOL

The concert was ended with Pumped Up Kick's song. (like predicted)

and that's the only song i knew. hahahha

25th of December is the best day of the year no matter what we did in preparation for it!

It's in fact the most meaningful day as we commemorate Jesus' birth.

what would we be without Jesus? And truly i thank God for sending Jesus so that we could be saved.

During every year's Christmas,

Darren would always open his house and invite a few people for some wine drinking @ his house.

This year is my 2nd year (since it's my 2nd year joining Jun) XP
well, previously it's more for USJ'ians.
but since I'm one of the USJ'ian's gf, therefore i get to come and join too :D

But seriously, it hasn't been much of an USJ'ians gathering ever since the circle of friendship got bigger XP

So there we are, people from different places and different age.

Some of us are still not up to that age yet.

But whatever we do there, we make sure it's not overboard :)

And in fact, it is a really great gathering!

This was during last year's Christmas.

We went to The Curve, and we watched a show, i forgotten what! HAHAHA!

Then, we took pictures around there.

1 thing about me, i like to be in photographs, but being alone in photographs make me feel awkward.

i've always wanted Jun to took with me, but he doesn't like to be in photos

and,and to have perfect angle for our picture, we have to ask other people to take

when we go places just 2 of us alone. hmmm.

but anyway, no, i'm not good in modelling, not good in posing.

and every picture with the same smile.. even though sometimes i felt i look so weird.

and that's when Jun say.. "no, you are pretty the way you are."

*sometimes, i did it on purpose so that he could say things like that XP*

1 thing i know for sure, is that guys like the confidence in girls.

i sometimes complain how imperfect i am to Jun and that got Jun down,

coz he doesn't like me complaining about how imperfect i am,

he say i should appreciate and love myself for who i am :)

being with Jun taught me many basics of life that i know of but never get to apply
and i thank God for him ♥

and to me, i will feel that pictures are worth keeping not because how pretty we look.

but what memories were shared.

and who we were with.

it doesn't matter how we look, coz it's the memories that we'll keep forever.

and i love just how Jun always take artistic pictures.

Jun's grandmother passed away yesterday evening. & I would just like to share something here. you can just read. or u can give me advices as well.

Christians are always taught to not yolk with unbelievers? don't get married with non-christians etc. Because the different religious views would definitely cause conflicts in the future.

However, I'm very glad and really thank God that Wen-Jun accepted Christ. And i can see that he is growing in Christ. Once, long time ago, when we're just together.. he told me before that he hope that his family will turn to God one day.

When he told me this, i can only tell him. We'll pray about it. see, i've never really evangelize before. I only do it once or twice to evangelize during trainings coz i'm pushed by people. I never automatically talk to my friends about God's love except when my friends ask me about it. my only way was to invite them to church and pray.

When Jun told me his wishes. I can only pray about it. I don't know how i'm suppose to bring them to Christ. I never even try inviting them to church before. For Jun to invite them is already quite difficult. the father is quite a strong buddhist (followed paternal grandfather) and the mother follow the father (though she is exposed coz she was in catholic school last time), but due to the mother's health, it will be hard for her to sit for hours to concentrate. and one thing, now she is going to a dialysis centre organized by buddhist orgranization. coz it's cheap. i really don't know how to evangelize to them

Jun's grandmother passed away. Well, i actually met her 3 times so far. 1st - when they come to KL last year during June? , 2nd - when i go Malacca during Dec (i know she is severely ill, coz she was so skinny), and 3rd when they come down to KL after christmas (i already know she is at 4th stage cancer)You know, looking at how she lost weight and all the suffering she is in. I can't help but to feel heartbroken. I kept silent and pray. And praying is all i do.

Now that she passed away. It's hard for me to find words to comfort Jun. I can say anything i want. - stand firm in God, God is with you.

but i cannot tell him... "Don't worry, she is in safe hands of God's"

I cannot i cannot.. coz i know she is not . =( I feel for once, the feeling of pain. The pain where you don't know where your love one is going after they passed away. (actually, it's heaven or hell. if it's not heaven, it must be hell... but i guess i rather choose to believe that she have no where to go.coz i cannot accept the fact. )

even simplest things i say... "condolences" , "sorry to hear" make me feel like a total hypocrite because i didn't do my part.

i feel really regret that i didn't evangelize to her.

i told Jun after comforting him... that i regret about this. He said he was thinking about this whole morning too. Coz he has been praying.. but he never evangelized. But he says it's not my fault etc... but im really putting it on myself.

i know i should have done something other than praying. i know i should have at least try to evangelize.

i now truly know the importance to evangelize.

I'm not that close with his grandmother (i only met her 3times!) but... when i'm chatting with Jun, when i'm typing all these down... i'm crying... probably coz i duno where she is going... i know she is not going to heaven... i know she is not in safe hands.. i'm now worried about her a lot a lot... i cannot stay in peace....

maybe i can use everyday's busyness to kill this pain, maybe when i chat and laugh it will cure.... but im quite sure that this regret is forever.

you know, i must go evangelize. i only prayed. i only invite. but i know i need to do more. but i've got no courage. and i procastinate. i know the importance. but i don't know how to do it.

that's why i need some help. coz i don't want to live regretting like this. i must at least try.

and for all Christians who are reading this, no matter who in ur live. i'm quite sure we live to show God's love. and we should do it, before we regret.. esp our love ones.

past cannot be change, but i will prayed for courage and really need to put away everything that worries and try to change the future. because i know what i should have at least done.

New Year 2012

Woohoo! It's new year! You know, I'm such a confusing girl XP During Planning Retreat last year (2011), i kept referring 2011 as 'last year', which by right should be 'this year'! and during Committee Meeting this afternoon, i kept referring 2012 as 'next year' instead of 'this year'

I guess for a moment i couldn't wait to by past time, and for another moment, i couldn't catch up with the time hahaha!

ANYWAY, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!!!!! :D

Yesterday was Watch Night Service and today (1.1.12) is the first Sunday of the year! It was really tiring to stay up late to count down and wake up early for the service. but anyway, i started my new year by going to Goldcoast to watch the first sunrise of the year with Michelle, Xin You and my dear. Will update about the first sunrise more when i get the pictures XP

Anyway, this year would be a bigger challenge to me than last year, as i have more responsibilities everywhere.

Well, let's start with family.

Though it is not obviously stated, but I'm considering myself taking up more responsibility in taking care of my parents and attending to their needs. As this year's church theme is to Focus on the Family, i would hope that i can also spend more time with my family, building a closer relationship with my family through a closer walk with God. :)

In church,

this will be my fourth year serving as president of MIYF.

But, MIYF will be incharge of more and more programs that will be carried out in church. But through all these plannings, we could gain experience in cooperating and giving supports to one another. I would also hope to see the youth grow in spiritual maturity as well as increase in numbers :D Other than that, Jun and I will join Disciple course next year (like finally!) hahaha!

In school (Sekolah Sri Sedaya),

i would be teaching Music Year 1 and Year 2. Gonna be a new thing to me as there is a change in syllabus.

I would also teach Mandarin Year 2, Mandarin Year 4 and Mandarin Year 6. Yeah! See that, Year 6!

That is really one of my worries now. How would i ever be able to communicate with them? I'm better off communicating with the lower primary school students. But, i'm just going to go all out trusting in God to guide me through this challenge :D

I am given new subjects to teach too, PE Lessons for Year 5 girls and Art Year 1.

Other than that, I am entrusted with a few leadership roles too, Head of Department for Music, Head of Acting and Dancing Club and Teacher Advisor for Speech and Drama Club.

I can see the responsibilities piling up for me in school next year, but I'm just going to close my eyes and let God lead me.

In my studies in Wawasan Open University, I have already finish off one year and I'm proud to say because it's not easy to finish XP I had my 2nd semester's exam but i have not look up on the results yet, not even sure whether it is out already or not.

But anyway, i got a letter that offer me 6 exemptions, and i have another 2 and half years to go!

Geez, sounds really long! But no choice, because I'm taking a different course than my diploma, so not much of exemptions can be offered.

This year, i enrolled in these 3 subjects - Fundamentals of Research and Statistics for Social Science (FRSSS); The Arts for Children in Language Learning; and Advanced Writing Skills for University Studies.

And i think the most interesting subject here is FRSSS, i felt that it's not so theoretical based :D

Next year probably will have lesser time for Jun & i to have our us time. Because we are still unsure of our tuition schedule and his studies is gonna get tougher too. Absence make the heart grow fonder yeah :) True love never fades.

and one of the very important thing for me to achieve is to really grow closer with God!

And I'm sure this year will be great because God will never leave me :)

Yiing is back and she already informed me way before she come back

guess she knows that I'm a very busy girl, haha!

was supposed to go for some seafood on the Wednesday (28/12/11)

but some of them couldn't make it, so on Yiing's wish, we went and eat Banana Leaf Rice!

I always heard people saying about it, but i never thought of trying it.

Well, so this is my first time XP

However, this Yiing, end up eating just Tosei coz she wasn't hungry. Haha.

After that, we head to Upstairs Cafe in SS12.

Ordered some drinks and continue chatting.

I know i havn't blog about Christmas but I am already talking so much about after Christmas' a activities.

i have school meeting on 27th to 29th, well, 29th is actually orientation, but yeah.. i still have to go to school

and each of this day even though i'm tired from school meeting, i have lots of other activities

gotta enjoy all i can before i start my studies and start my work officially again ahaha

so on 27th, after meeting, i went to Loudspeakers with my dear, Hui Qing, Angel and Darren.

Christmas Public Holiday's Futsal!

I liked the idea of having Christmas on a Sunday, coz the next day is the Public Holiday for Christmas :D

It's like we're having 2 days of Christmas! hahaha

Guess it's just me being naive XP

Anyway, that day, i head out for Futsal with some youths and an EMMCF member - Clarence.

I think i didn't go for Futsal for 1 year already.

The last time i go Futsal was before i teach in Sedaya i think XP

But ever since i started teaching in Sedaya, i enjoyed sports more :)

And honestly, i love playing basketball with the kids during lunch time..

i hope i can still do it next year :D

Caroling 2011

Caroling is held every year without fail, i guess it's like the tradition already.

I remembered that there was one year when the advisors were considering to cancel off caroling

but the committee insisted to still keep it and have it every year.

Well, it's great you know, because it's during this time of the year when the youths are more bonded together, through the many practices of caroling and christmas.

And it's great to see so many people coming together to sing carols of God's love and having fellowship :)

This year, we combined the caroling together, and we had 24 participants including Rev. David, Uncle Steven and Pastor Caleb.

We change some songs, and we add in some narration.. and we went to 4 houses.

Winter Solstice

This year, my family spent the winter solstice festival with gonggong popo in my uncle's house.

Jun came along, and he brought his guitar to practice caroling songs.

I always love the view in Uncle Ming's house. His house is so high up, it is also very windy

Went and soak my feet in the cold water while waiting for others to get ready.

Gonggong wake up after that, and I'm glad he remembers me.
He confidently say that "You are Ah Fong mah"
and he remember that Wen-Jun is my Pak-Tor (means date aka bf in my grandfather's language)
The other day when i randomly go and visit him, he doesn't remember me and Jun.

MIYF Planning Retreat

Planning retreat is on 19th and 20th.

Been so regret coz of the busy schedule, i'm unable to plan a RETREAT

end up having it in church instead.

but the planning went well, and hopefully it will do good to the youth and the Kingdom of God.

and to my dear committees, i promise that i will plan a better place next year XP

Anyway, i really want to thank God, during the reflection of planning retreat,
we sang songs, praise God, and share testimony to thank God about His guidance to us
God reveal His love through the committees when they share their testimonies
and the committees also take time to ask for forgiveness.
It's really a very touching moment and it really bond us all together once again. :)

We will continue to serve with joy with Christ for the following year

The last day of planning retreat, we had our dinner at a steamboat restaurant in Sunway

I think, playground is not solely for kids.. I assure you that when I'm 30years old next time,

2nd cake - choc orange cake

Since i've failed the first cake, and unable to give it to Ms. Soo,
i decided to bake the 2nd cake.
This time, i bought chocolate mixed flour instead.

Following the instruction, but i added orange flavour myself.

Previously,i used my hand. I thought i could trust my hand, and causing a rather tough texture,
not nice to bite.
however after much advice from my friends,
i decided to ask daddy let me use the electrical mixer.

After that, i just put em in the oven.
1 thing i forgotten this time was to grease the tray.
well, but i remembered to put cooking paper aka tracing paper,
so it doesn't stick that much.

One thing about baking, you can't just leave it in the oven and set the temperature and time to 30degree celcius. You got to kept checking on it's colour and poking a satay stick through it.

and when the satay stick you took out is clean and dry.. means it's ready

The texture is much better, however it's quite dry, probably there is no cream or whatsoever.
but, remember it should be orange flavoured as well? it was too mild and the choc taste covered it.

So i bought whipped cream and sugar stars to decorate it for Ms. Soo.

The next time i bake, i will try to make cream :D
and if i want to make orange flavour next time, i should just squeeze the orange for it's juice
my mom did that last time and her cake was awesome!

Darling Elaine's 21st birthday ♥

Elaine's birthday falls on the same day as the Selangor Agong's birthday (11/12)

This year, since it is her 21st BIG birthday, she invited lots of her friend over for BBQ party.

It is suppose to be 11th Dec, however many of her relatives will not be in,

therefore it was changed to 9th Dec.

That was the day when i just finish my last exam paper, and i get to enjoy :D

When a person do not talk, what will you think of? Is it that he/she is tired? He/she is angry? sad? Just don't know what to say?

For me, when i do not talk, many things are still running in my mind. In a situation where i am listening but not talking, simply because i am there to listen to you, and if you need, i could share my opinion.

However, in situations where there is nothing going on, you're beside me, yet I'm not talking. It could mean a lot of things. Yet, one very possible answer is just plainly thinking.

And usually, my silent would lead to silent tears - no matter i was thinking positively or negatively.

Tears and laughter are both feelings that cannot be expressed by word. If there's no tears, there will not be laughter; if there is laughter, there'll definitely be tears.

Yet and again, tears make me see reality clearer, and makes me stronger :)

But sometimes, i rather that what i see is not real.
things does change, and when it does, we just gotta accept it.

Malacca Trip with dear & his family

Let me see.. i think the last time i went to Malacca before this time was during my Primary school days? Or Secondary school days? But I'm sure it was way more than 5 years ago.

Ever since Wen-Jun and I are together, I have been wanting so much to visit his hometown when he tell me that it is Malacca. To me, Malacca was always just in my memory, and i love visiting old places and share about my stories then to people, then they share theirs. No doubt, i love visiting new places as well, where we learn more about the new places.

Travelling to me is not much of a shopping, but visiting new places, seeing different people, experiences ifferent culture, appreciating different architectures of the building, tasting different food, etc etc

The night before Malacca trip was Elaine's birthday (i just realize i havn't post anything about it yet), will talk bout it after Malacca Trip post. After her birthday, i stayed over at Jun's house. And the next morning, we woke up early for breakfast, and Jun drove us (his mom, sis and i) to Malacca.

We arrived at Malacca and the first place to go was to visit his paternal grandparents, his paternal grandmother just got a surgery and is very weak and thin so one of the reason we're in Malacca was to visit her. However, she was already much better when we visit her.

This is the Lok Bak Gou (Fried Carrot Cake) that Wen-Jun love so much.

Well, I'm actually very happy when I look at this picture. I love to watch Detective Conan, because it does teach me new things as well. One of the episode mentioned that, if someone took a picture and focus on the person inside instead of the main object, it means that that person is important to the one who took the photo.

We took photos as above because we want to introduce the Lok Bak Gou, but the focus was on me instead of the Lok Bak Gou, does that mean i am more important than the Lok Bak Gou? And means Wen-Jun love me more than the Lok Bak Gou right? (there's definitely no doubt, but this picture just explains it again! XP)

That's why this photo makes me really happy. hahahaha (but probably he didn't thought of anything and just snap it, or he wrongly adjust the focus accidentally.) But i'm still happy :P

After visiting his paternal grandparents,
we went to his maternal grandmother's house where we will be staying for our trip in Malacca.

We had some light lunch in her place, watch a movie. While Jun, his uncle, sis and mom is watching the movie called Horrible Bosses. I was looking through their photo albums and his maternal grandmother was there to explain to me who they are. I gotta tell you that Wen-Jun look like his mom when his mom was younger! They got the same face! And his mom is really pretty. Jun is not pretty, he is handsome, but he does look pretty sometimes... like prettier than me! hahahahha! I guess he followed his mother's features well, just that he got that naughty boy's look as well XP

After the fellowships in his maternal grandmother's house,
Jun and I went round Malacca.

We took Wen-Jun's dad car and go around. It's a Saturday, and it's jammed up everywhere! We headed first to Dataran Pahlawan. Jun said that we park our car there and we could walk to all places to visit. But it take us 20minutes going round and round and round to get a parking!

We took some picture in Dataran Pahlawan because their decorations are really quite nice! It's on the Smurf theme! hahahahha!

Then, from there, we walk to the St. Paul's hill. We pass by the Museum where they have some models of transportation outside.

There were many other transport, but i was most interested to take pictures on the train. There was breeze then and just make the whole picture look like the train is really moving. hahahaha.

cost RM20++ per person? I find it irrelevant though... XP

Then, we visit the remains of A'Famosa.

After that, we went back to Dataran Pahlawan to walk around, and then to Mahkota.

At night, we went to Jonker Walk with the others - his uncle, mom, and sis.
Before that, we park the car at Jun's maternal granduncle and grandaunty's place
then we walk to Jonker Street.

We had dinner, and then we walk around.
Well, we didn't actually walk 'around' though, there were many people,
we were basically just following behind the crowds, it's too hard to move around with those crowds.

But there are a lot of things sold there. Jun said that he used to walk around for the 1st round to see what he want, then when he walk for the 2nd round, he will start visiting stalls and buy things. But it doesn't apply to the situation that night, it was a Saturday night, thus, the crowds.

The crowd got too heavy, and we decided to leave the place.

We had some discussion about what is Pokok Melaka, hahaha! And why must the Parameswaran named it after a tree, and not the mousedeer which kicked the dog into the river as self-defense!

Frankly, i don't know how Pokok Melaka looks like until i googled it!

It is such a common tree and i do not know of it's name hahahah!
Well, i used to pluck the leaves of the tree and throw it all over my friends. XP

We had a long walk back to the car, and we had some food at mamak stalls
That's my Day 1 in Malacca :)

For Day 2,we visited Jun's paternal grandparents again, and this time we went and search for games to play for awhile too. It's such a fun game, i love it.. even though I'm so dumb at it coz I'm so slow in thinking haha

Christmas Flower

December............... A very joyous month, yet super busy!
Sometimes, it makes me cry because of the stress that i face,
however, it wonderful to see how all these stress that God gave me work out in a beautiful way where everybody gathered together to sing carols and praise God, celebrating this joyous occassion!
besides, tears just make me stronger and knows that i've reach my limit, and just have to surrender all to God :)

Today, i went to Gereja Methodist Ara Damansara to replace a songleader who could not make it.
And Ya-Pei was there to replace Ee Laine as pianist.
For your information, please pray for Ee Laine and her family in the demise of Ee Laine's grandmother.

Something that i've never knew during Pastor Caleb's message was - what is the flower for Christmas?
We have flowers for every occassion, like roses for valentines, carnations for mother's day,
crysanthemum to pay respect during QingMing, yellow roses for sick people etc

When Pastor Caleb asked about the flower for Christmas, i was thinking of Mistletoe.
But, i'm sure the answer wasn't that, because it is not even a flowering plant,
it's a parasite to be exact!

Then, Pastor Caleb revealed the answer. It's called Poinsettia (圣诞红）
I saw this flower as decos on Christmas tree before, but it didn't come to my mind that it is significant.
I thought it is only because of the colour suited the season very well.

One of the reason for this flower to be called Christmas flower is the colour, as it indicates the joyous atmosphere every Christmas we have.
It's like the best time of the year.

There are a few more reasons, such as...
1. It blooms only in the month of December to February (which is during Christmas -winter, New year and Spring festival). When all the flowers wither and die in December, Poinsettia blooms! This shows that the flower is strong.

2. It signify the fire burning in our heart for Jesus!

I search on the internet, it also said that, it's star-shaped flower signify the star that led the wise men to Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. It is also liked Christmas Rose (another type of flower categorized under Christmas plant), it represent the deep love for Christ and great devotion of pure innocent human being to baby Jesus.

One interesting fact about poinsettia - The coloured red leaves are not petals. They surround the base of tiny flower heads and are designed to attract insects that might otherwise overlook the flowers.

These reasons encourages me to 'be like' the flower, staying strong, loving God, burn for God, deep devotion to God, and deep love for God.

For I'm made because He loves me, to love Him :)

This is just a sneak peak for Malacca Trip with Jun and his family that I have not mention yet in this blog here.
I've also went to Bukit Merah for the night with Jun, and pictures are also yet to be up. XP

Gonna take some time though, coz tomorrow (19th) and Tuesday (20th) is MIYF planning retreat.
It will surely be a loooonnnngggg day. But, it should be good :)

Approximately 2 months ago,

Ms.Soo came and told us that her daughter got selected to studying in Singapore!

I thought she will follow, but then, she told me that she will stay in Malaysia.

After a few days, she came and told me that she will no longer be here next year.

I was really shocked and i thought she was joking, but in the same time, i doubt that she was joking.

Indeed, she was serious.

So, before she shift to Singapore, she invited us over for BBQ party
which was held on 4th Dec 2011

Well, it's supposed to be, but then it rained, so we ate in the house and chit-chat instead.

Ms. Soo stays in a condo and it's really nice there.
i love it small and cozy!

It feels really homey.

That day, my colleagues bring along their spouses and kids.

And i'm the happiest on earth then, because so many kids there,

and i just love playing with them =D

Being with children seems to be happiest thing!

but, parenting is not easy, however it is challenging and interesting!

i love most when i see kids slowly developing in terms of fine and gross motor skills,
in speech and in cognitive skills.

because you've got no worries and you get sit on your daddy's shoulder :D

Below is Ms. Soo and her daughter - Yi Man.
They are awesome! They presented 2 songs together.
Their fingers run through the strings of violin and the piano keys really fast.

It's great to have great colleagues like them!

Even though we may have different age, some are triple my age, double my age, some a little older than me
yeah yeah, i am the youngest there. but i'm growing too.

Though we have different goals in life,

but we get along well when we come together and work together in school.
One of the thing that kept me in school are the smiles and tears that we shared.

Being there for one another and supporting each other when we go through difficulties in life.

Yeah, it's like family.

One of the thing that change greatly next year, will be the absence of Ms. Soo.

Ms. Soo is a very dedicated teacher, and we are all very happy for her to go to Singapore.
It's a great opportunity.
This year she contributed a lot in Sedaya, and every work there is done whole-heartedly.
Almost every events, i'll be able to see Ms. Soo's name appearing 3 or 4 times.
I always wonder how she could manage to coordinate so many performances,
and every performances seem so perfect.

She never let any time slip away, she do have her own leisure time.
But, when she knows there is something need to be done, she'll do it first.
She has her priorities set.

Next year, she will not be here anymore.
I cannot imagine, but i kept wondering how it would be like.
Because she helped me so much in my work,
and she is my head (leader) for most of the responsibilities given to me in school,
she is the first one who let me feel that i belong to the school's organization,
she told me so many things i need to know as a newbie teacher
and most of my success will be a failure without her.

Though i just know her for a year, but i'll surely miss her.

Yesterday (7th Dec), Wen-Jun and I went to her place to get charcoal for Elaine's birthday.
She asked us to stay awhile, and we spent a very long period of time there.
We chat, drink vitagen, play with the kids (her nieces and nephew), walk around her condo,
eat ice-cream, drink and chat some more.
She taught us to do cup rhythm, which i think forgot how to do already.
Then we continue chatting.
We were there till 10.45pm, and we went off.
It was good and well spent time there, really enjoy myself there.

But it's not all.
Well, I will still see her one more time before she goes off to Singapore.

I think i visited Logos Hope during October or November 2011, but Wen-Jun only found all these pictures now. There should be more pictures of how the ship look inside, but for the time being, i couldn't find it XP

Rev. David invited us on board, Elaine Siah is supposed to join us,

but she could not make it on time after her work.

So, end up only Wen-Jun, Ee Laine and myself went there.

Can you see from these last few pictures? The ship behind of Logos Hope is Star Cruise! Haha!
It's 3 times the size of Logos Hope and double the height!
but, Logos Hope itself is already actually quite big. hahaha!

It has a library inside, where i bought some books from.
It has over 500000 book titles inside!
(i get the detail from theSunDaily online, it should be accurate)

One thing, though Logos Hope is not as big as Star Cruise,
but i think that it did much bigger and mightier works than Star Cruise.
Instead of attending to the luxuries needs of rich people,
Logos Hope attend to those who are poor, and give them
love, hope, help,knowledge and eternal life that cannot be bought with money.

God is in control

I learnt something yesterday. So, I'm gonna share it here.

I love unhealthy food! XP Of course, i do eat healthy food, but some food seems healthy but it's actually not! Then, when you know that what you've been eating is unhealthy, it is difficult for you to get rid of it, even when you are told that you have health problems.

Well, i personally do not have health problems, however i can see that if i continue to eat unhealthily, i might end up with one soon.

One of my favourite is the fat porks - where you can always find them in Bak Kut Teh and those fine dining Chinese restaurant. It has always occur to me that i can eat, i can eat, because i don't grow fat. But, growing fat doesn't mean the diameter of your body parts change to become more, but the fats that you ate in your body and remains there. That is fat!

Some people can be fat but they are fit - that means they have no fats in their body but lean muscles due to exercise. And some people can be thin, but having lots of fats in their body which also called cholesterol. When too much of fats, it will become high-cholesterol.

People who are thin, would tend to eat and eat and eat and thought they would not grow fat, but actually the cholesterol are increasing in their body and they do not know it.

After i knew Wen-Jun and he saw my eating habits, he try to change it knowing that it is bad for me. However, this will sometimes end up with silent war because i do not like him asking me to stop eating what i like. He even explained to me about why i should not eat it, well i listened at first, but sometimes i would just go and eat it again.

It usually is like that:
He: Do not eat so much of these, will cause you to die faster.
Me: Well, God already plan when He wants me to go back to Him, so no matter how much i control i will die at that age too.
He: Well, but probably you will die with lesser pain.

Sometimes, it will be like..
Me: If you worry so much about what all these food will cause you, your health will become even more worse because of worries.

Lots of lots of reasons i would use to ease the worries in him, and probably so that i don't have to restrict myself. Well, you know.. i am young, so eat all i want, coz when you're old, you can't! LOL

But, yesterday, he told me this:
You can control your intake all you want, but God is in control of your life and death. However, that doesn't mean you do not have to take care of your body. Our body is the temple of God, and isn't it our responsibility to take care of it? We don't smoke, but it's God's plan too whether we will die of lung cancer or not.. but does that mean you will go and smoke?

So, it applies to me now. Doesn't mean that God is in control, i have no responsibility. Whatever that God gave it to us, it will be our responsibility to take care of it. And whatever task that God entrusted to us, it is our responsibility to fulfill it.

So, it's not worry whether what food cause us harm, but it's the responsibility to know so that we know what is entering our body.

Thank God that He taught me this lesson through Jun :)

Remember i was bragging about my wavy hair? The previous post was not my original hair coz the hairdresser blow dry my hair for me to straighten it.

Now, let me show you how does it look like after i wash my hair.

Yeah, it's wavy, it's dry. It's not neat, it's messy, it's uneven. But, i love it the way it is. I love the kind of natural wavy-ness that not all girls can get unless they use curlers or perm their hair. Probably, i could do something with the dry-ness by applying oil or what, but i'll definitely not straighten my hair.

Funny how people love the opposites of themselves, and can never be satisfied of themselves?

When you are fat, you hope that you're thinner;and when you're thin, you hope to have more meat.
When you have wavy hair, you go and straighten your hair; when you have straight hair, you go and curl it.
You're too tall, and you hope that you were shorter; but when you're short, you hope that you were taller.
and there are more..... ..... .....

There are certain areas of myself that i do not like, but thinking that I'm made by God - the perfect Creator!
Even the flowers are clothed with beautiful colours, and the sky are decorated with clouds, sun, sometimes rainbow.
Then, if i am a child of God, i must be precious to His eyes.
Therefore, i'm learning to embrace myself.

the 1st cake i baked

So noob right? I know! Hahaha!

I'm not that kind who goes in the kitchen! The only time i go in the kitchen is to EAT.. not to bake or cook! I'm really bad at culinary, and i don't really mind though, coz Jun say he will cook next time!
I promised to clean and wash the dishes! hahahaha!

But since I am going to my colleague's house - Ms. Soo for a BBQ Party tomorrow because she is leaving to Singapore soon to work. I was looking at Apple Pie recipes, and i thought that making apple pie would be good. But, as the day draw closer, i find out that i have lesser time, and i also gotten lazier.

So, i went to Carrefour and got a packet of this pre-mix ingredients. I also got Orange flavour and some coloured shapes to spice up this cake in taste and in colour.

Following the instruction from the back, i managed to mix up the ingredients together.

However, i purposely skip the 1st step thinking that i would be long in mixing ingredients.

However, i regretted skipping the 1st step, because my raw product have to wait on the table for the oven to pre-heat. Next time, i will surely pre-heat it first.

I got really excited when the colour of the cake changes. It look delicious!

While waiting for the cake to bake, mommy made western food for dad and i.

and i prepare the last box of Vono Mushroom soup.

And then, while I'm eating, the cake is baked.

It does smell nice, however it doesn't look as delicious anymore :(

Mom and dad taste it, and they commented that the texture of the cake is not soft enough.
Geezzzzz... I didn't thought i will fail, coz i follow the instruction exactly. HAHA

But, probably i've stir the mixture too much, my mom said. but according to others, i'm supposed to use the mixer to stir, but i used my hand instead! But this will not stop me from trying next time!

Well, i'm suppose to bring this cake to my colleague's house tomorrow, but now i'm giving a 2nd thought XP

I like my hair wavy - the way it is!

Actually, i didn't really want to cut my hair :( I love it long, i don't care how messy it is when it's long, and i don't care whether it is not straight, i love my hair to be wavy! i think it looks kinda wild, kinda sexy, kinda hot! The way i like my hair to be XP Hahaha!

I colour my hair too using their products - light golden brown

But, i didn't cut it or trim it for a year already, and i saw many many split ends, so i have no choice but to go and trim it. I only told the hair dresser that i want her to do trimming only. But she being a perfectionist, she cannot stand to see the dryness of my hair, and she trim it so short for me! *cry*
Well, but come to think of it, i really do appreciate her effort. It makes my hair look so healthy now. And change my image a little bit. From wild, hot, sexy back to young, innocent and cute look. Hahaha! So thick skin siallll. Oh wellllll. XP But i do not think that there is a problem for being confident with myself :P

And no doubt, one thing i love about it now is the light weight of my hair, and it's not so stiff now. Probably because they blow it dry for me, that's why it seems so perfect now. I guess it will turn all curly or wavy again after i wash my hair XP

My hair is not straight, so be it! And i love it wavy! One thing about the hair dresser, she kept recommending me to straighten my hair.. But straightening or rebonding is not my cup of tea, not my kind of hairstyle! Haha!

I don't mind her commenting that it's dry, and my unhealthy scalp. I don't mind her promoting. But, i don't like her to pester me to straighten my hair. XP I have no trust in straightening it. And i don't like my hair to be straight! LOL

So yeah, this is my new hairstyle! And i miss my long hair :( But i am trying to love this medium length for now :) Coz it does do me good ;)

Christmas is near!

It's December, and Christmas is near! I've already been to 1 Utama, Pyramid, Empire.. but decorations are still under construction when i go there during the end of November. Probably it will be up very soon since Christmas is really near now :)

So i made him take picture with it, and with all the soft toys behind XD

Though Christmas is not about presents, Christmas trees or mistletoes, but i really love the decorations for Christmas! It is really beautiful, don't you think so? The whole place is so much livelier with Christmas Decorations, i think it is even better than Chinese New Year!

At night, we went and visit Angel @ Subang Parade's Sakae Sushi. She is one very 'good' waitress XP

sometimes it just look so common already, and nothing special.

Well, i wouldn't have thought of this, so i think that this picture that he took is really creative.

However, he doesn't really like it. Geezzhe got high expectations when it comes to photography..

But, of course, the special thing about Christmas, is still not the trees or the decos,
but the birth of Jesus Christ, our Saviour :)
